Week 9 Reflection
1) What was
the biggest surprise for you in the reading? In other words, what did you read
that stood out the most as different from your expectations? I don’t
really think anything actually surprised me exactly, but I did find the section
dedicated to social media marketing very useful. I am starting a new position
where this insight is a big help moving forward. I am not a fan of social media
but reading more on the subject makes you want to utilize it.
2)
Identify at least one part of the reading that was confusing to
you. I didn’t find anything in this week’s reading confusing or new. It
expanded on ideas that I’ve discussed in other classes.
3)
If you were able to ask two questions to the author, what
would you ask? Why? I would ask the author if he find market segmentation the most
difficult part of developing a marketing plan? I personally find that it is a
make or break situation. Also, I would ask if the author believes there is a
revenue model within social media that is more successful in the long term. I
find this very relevant to my current situation.
4)
Was there anything you think the author was wrong about? Where
do you disagree with what she or he said? How? I found the author consistent with everything I
have heard about this subject. There was nothing in particular that I did not
agree with.
