Week 10
1)
What was the biggest
surprise for you in the reading? In other words, what did you read that stood
out the most as different from your expectations? Considering I’m in
accounting, this weeks reading was nothing new for me. There wasn’t anything
that stood out because it was a topic I know a lot about.
2)
Identify at least one part
of the reading that was confusing to you. There was nothing in this week’s
reading that I found confusing. I use this information daily and have my associates
in accounting which covered all of this specifically.
3)
If you were able to ask
two questions to the author, what would you ask? Why? I would ask the
author if he feels those with accounting degrees have a greater advantage when
running their own businesses because they do understand the financial aspects
deeply. Also, I would ask whether he felt that it needs deeper attention than
just a chapter. I feel it is very important to have more than just an overview
on financial forecasting.
4)
Was there anything you
think the author was wrong about? Where do you disagree with what she or he
said? How? Financial functions and
budgeting are pretty straightforward. In my mind, this is the way things are
done and there really isn’t anything to disagree with.
