Week 5 Reflection

1)    What was the biggest surprise for you in the reading? In other words, what did you read that stood out the most as different from your expectations?

a.      I was very interested in the New Venture checklist. There is quite a bit to consider. Most think of it in a very basic manor, but it is so much more than just an idea.  

2)    Identify at least one part of the reading that was confusing to you.

a.     I had a difficult time grasping the explanation of the feasibility approach. I feel that perhaps it is something I need actual discussion about rather than just reading the technical explanation. 

3)    If you were able to ask two questions to the author, what would you ask? Why?

a.     Among all the reasons new ventures fail, which do you personally find the most important to be aware of? I think I would ask for more insight on this because it is the definitive factor of when to push forward and when to wait. I would also ask if they think age is a factor in failure.

4)    Was there anything you think the author was wrong about? Where do you disagree with what she or he said? How?

a.     There was nothing I disagreed about.
