Week 3 Reading Reflection

Week 3 Reading Reflection

1) What was the biggest surprise for you in the reading? In other words, what did you read that stood out the most as different from your expectations?
I was really intrigued by the author’s explanation of the grief recovery process in regards to an entrepreneur and their failed ventures. The different approaches and their inherent issues was a great read.
2) Identify at least one part of the reading that was confusing to you.
I had a hard time reading the initial explanation of cognitive and metacognitive entrepreneurship. I had to break down the paragraphs and work through to grasp the conceptual difference of the why and how an entrepreneur makes decisions.
3) If you were able to ask two questions to the author, what would you ask? Why?
I would ask the author if he feels that a profit driven entrepreneur is more likely to fail and why? Also, I would ask if the author encourages the use of websites like Kickstarter or does he think it might stunt the growth and experience of said entrepreneur due to the ease of fundraising these days.

4) Was there anything you think the author was wrong about? Where do you disagree with what she or he said? How?
I really didn’t feel as though I could question or disagree with the author.

All in all, this week's reading was really interesting and I thoroughly enjoyed digging in even when I didn't quite grasp what I was reading at first.
